  1. I am about to buy my 3rd. I broke one screen and it still works but of course doesn’t look nice. I soaked another in coffee and it still works but doesn’t look right.
After I buy the 3rd I have still only spent $90 which means I’m still ahead of the game. Plus it runs on android 7.1.1 nougat which runs everything I use.
I think this is a rare case of getting MORE than you payed for and I have looked for a better deal each time.

    • At regular pricing I agree but their are the occasional deals if you catch one at just the right time, for instance both the Motorola E4 and E5 have been on sale for short times at $29 to $39. Both or others at occasional sale prices are far more durable, faster, better in every way but again those sales are few and far between. At regular price the Raven is hard to beat, mine does what it’s supposed to and have had no glitches.

  2. The specs list the camera as having auto focus. Mine does not have auto focus. Is there a way to enable auto focus for the camera?

  3. For 30 bucks it’s fantastic. The resolution is good enough for the small screen. Have had it for probably a year with no problems. Bluetooth works great with my Bluetooth hearing aids. And for $30 bucks it’s also a great mp3 player with a big memory card I have many hours of audio and some video stored on it.

(Adding airtime online seems only to offer smarthone plans, so I go to WalMart and get the $20 3-month card and it works fine. Costs about $7 a month. )

  4. As for increasing RAM, no, I don’t know of any cell phone that allows this. In a PC, it can only be done by opening the case and adding or changing memory cards. Cell phones are way too compact to allow room to perform such an operation. I suppose they could design them with “RAM slots” on the side, like a microSD card, but they don’t.

  5. My LG Rebel 3 LTE from TracFone is ending July 29,2019. will need new phone. The Alcatel Raven LTE sounds like a good replacement.

    • I just got a SD card for this phone but can’t figure out how to move apps onto the SD card. Any tips? Google isn’t helping much.

      Thanks in advance 🙂
