It’s incredibly annoying when your phone doesn’t function properly. Few problems are as frustrating as when your Alcatel flip phone gets stuck perpetually powered on, no matter how many times you try to turn it off or restart it through normal means.
You may have pressed the power button repeatedly or held it down for over 30 seconds, with no success getting that stubborn device to shut off.
The good news is that, while a perpetually-on Alcatel flip phone can seem impossible to deal with, there are steps you can take to troubleshoot the problem and hopefully get your device to respond and power down correctly again. It may require some patience and trial-and-error, but don’t give up hope yet!
If your Alcatel flip phone won’t turn off, the following steps may help get it working again:

The first step is to firmly press and hold the power or end button for up to 30 seconds to see if forcing a hard reboot helps.
Keep holding the button down even if the screen goes black. This may get the phone to power cycle and shut down.
Remove and Replace Battery
If that fails, the next step is to open up the back cover and physically remove the battery from the device. This will immediately force it to shut off.
Before replacing the battery, press and hold the power button for 60 seconds to discharge any residual electricity. Once discharged, put the battery back in and power the phone on as normal.
Check for Problematic Apps
An app may also be the culprit, especially if the phone started acting up after you downloaded something new. Go through and uninstall any suspicious or new apps.
Then try to turn the phone off again through the power button menu. This forces the phone to restart without the problematic app running.

Restore Factory Settings
Finally, if all else still fails, backup your data and contacts and then restore your phone to factory default settings.
With the phone reset and powered on, try shutting it down again. This should clear any software bugs causing it to get stuck on.
With some luck, one of these steps should force your stubborn Alcatel phone to successfully power down when needed. Just be patient and methodical in your troubleshooting.
