Boot your TracFone LG Rebel LTE into Safe Mode, a special mode that put the phone it a diagnostic state or back to its default setting temporarily so you can analyze the phone and decide whether a 3rd party causing some problem with the phone or not.
A smartphone such as LG Rebel LTE was equipped with Safe Mode. This mode put the phone in a diagnostic state where it disables the entire 3rd party app temporarily.
The main idea of Safe Mode is to help you determine whether one of your 3rd party apps causes the problem with the phone such as making it slow or making it keep resetting.
When you boot the phone into Safe Mode, the entire 3rd party app you have in there will be deactivated. You can check on the phone and app functionality.
If everything seems to work well, then it is obvious that whatever problem that happens to the phone caused by one of those apps.
To boot into Safe Mode on LG Rebel LTE, you can use two methods. The main method work if the phone still reacts to your command and it still works just fine despite the problem. In this main method, you have to:
- Press and hold “Power button” of the phone until “Power menu” appear.
- On Power menu, tap and hold “Power Off” option.
- A new option stated “Restart in Safe Mode” will show up.
- In the reboot, Safe Mode prompt, choose “Turn on” to start the process of rebooting the phone to Safe Mode.
In the other hand, the problem on the phone may cause it unresponsive or frozen. In this case, you can’t use the main method so you have to go to the alternative method by:
- Make sure the phone is already off.
- After that, press and hold Power button and Volume Down button.
- Keep pressing until system Recovery menu appear on the screen and you can release those buttons.
- Using Volume button, move between the menu and highlighted “Safe Mode” option.
- Press Power button to select it and wait until the process complete.
It may take a while for the rebooting process to take place but usually, it will finish under one minute.
When you succeed booting the phone to Safe Mode, you will find Safe Mode text written on the bottom left part of the screen. It means you are already in Safe Mode and you will see that none of the 3rd party app listed on the menu.
Now run and check for phone and app functionality. If in the standard operating mode you notice that the phone is going slow, what about in special mode?
Make sure to check for the entire feature of the phone to see how it works. If you find that everything works well, then you can be sure that you got a troubled 3rd party app.
Next thing to do is disabling or uninstall the app that you think caused this issue. It may be the latest app that you just installed or perhaps some older app that you just recently updated.
There could be a problem with the updating process that caused a problem with the app. It may take a while to figure out which app that causes havoc on your phone but at least you know that the source of the problem is in the app and not the phone’s software or hardware.
